My pregnancy and appendicitis !!

Pregnancy is supposed to be a time filled with excitement and wonder especially for the first time expectant mom. As I go through changes and I feel the ups and downs of hormonal adjustments I revels in the awe of the new life growing within my body. Expecting a baby is also a time to expect the unexpected. Although most pregnancies come off without a hitch every now and then something goes wrong.
My joy soon turned to frenzied worry. I began having stomach pains that continued to get worse. I went to the hospital and was placed in a wheelchair. When I was taken back to an examining room no one was allowed to be with me. After a few hours and a barrage of tests the physician informed my family that he was admitting me to the hospital.

He suspected that I was suffering from acute appendicitis but there was also a chance that it could be an ovarian cyst. In the morning they ran more tests. The doctor's original suspicions were correct. It was appendicitis. I had to have surgery immediately. My first thought was how they were going to operate with me being pregnant. The surgeon explained that they would try to remove the appendix with a scope and would only cut if absolutely necessary. He also informed me that I could lose the baby.

The surgery took longer than expected and my family really began to worry. Finally the surgeon gave us the news. The appendix was really bad and they ended up having to make the incision since they could not remove it otherwise. The good news was that my I would be fine and my unborn survived the surgery. I was four months pregnant that time. The incision was a dreadfully long cut right down the middle of my right abdomen.

Thanks Allah everything was smooth and now im already 8 months +...waiting for my baby to cheerish my life......

My Bro Engagement....

Meminang "BETROTHAL" OR "ENGAGEMENT"

Betrothal is the pre-wedding meeting between the bride's and the groom's parents will determine the dowry that is to be given to the bride as well as the date of the solemnization. This may be as early as a year before the wedding itself so that arrangements could be made in advance.
Once agreement for the marriage has been reached between the families of the potential bride and the potential bridegroom, preparations for engagement (Meminang) take place. Representatives from the young man’s side once again visit the house of the young woman, following the confirmation of a date and time for such a visit. On the side of the potential bride, a consensus is obtained regarding the following:
(a) The date and time for the Meminang ceremony.

(b) The amount of money to be paid by the young man for expenses ( Wang belanja).

(c) Details regarding the gift (Hantaran) items.

(d) The date and time for the actual wedding ceremony and feast.

Details regarding the penalty should one of the parties break the agreement for the marriage.
When the young man’s representatives arrive at the young woman’s house, these matters are discussed and settled. Agreement is also reached on certain details regarding the engagement ceremony, including:

(a) The number of persons who will constitute the bride-groom’s party.

(b) The number of trays (Dulang) of gifts that will be brought in addition to the traditional betel-leaf containers (Tepak sirih).
